Back to life.. back to reality

So what have I been up to since my last blog entry? Aside from traveling toTrois-Rivières, Chicoutimi and Albany for work, I took some time for myself and had a little vacation... at last! The DH and I went on a Mediterranean Cruise with my family for 10 days, visiting Rome, Venice, Dubrovnik, Athens, Izmir and Split. Gorgeous cities, gorgeous cultures!

When in Rome, eat like the Romans do!

Truly breathtaking
With temperatures ranging from 20 to 40oC, layering is key!
Just came back from a wedding in Toronto yesterday, only to fly out tomorrow to Worcester, MA. There is not a moment of rest for my poor soul.. Who knows when I'll have the time again to write another post! Tee hee..

Reward points vs practicality

I've been faced with this issue recently - Whether it would be worth having ridiculous flight segments just so I can accumulate some reward miles or switch airlines for a more direct faster flight?

Decisions.. decisions..

Detroit, MI

Yesterday's little adventure across the boarder was extremely exhausting - total of 22 hours from the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep! The meeting was in Detroit, MI and it was a last minute trip as I was covering for an american colleague.

While waiting in between flights, I learnt from Wiki that Detroit has one of the highest crime rates in the States, yet for the brief period I was there, I found it surprising as I met some of the nicest people! Mind you the only people I had contact with were airport personnel, taxi drivers and hospital staff.

All I can say is that I'm glad to be home for the next few days!
